The sea of life. How do large families come to be in modern Russia?

The publication is devoted to the consideration of the issue of how large families in modern Russia are born and live. In the collective monograph, on the basis of deep interviews with large parents, it is shown that large deeds are the process of family transition, which is recognized by the parents of several children in connection with certain rotary points in their biography. At the same time, such a transition is difficult to carry out alone, not being included in the environment favorable for the birth and upbringing of children. Special attention is paid to the understanding of the intra -family relations of large spouses in connection with the attitude of marriage, as well as the analysis of intra -family processes in families with children in the context of the social significance of time. The assumptions made about the transition to large families and social organization of the life of families with a large number of children are checked on the data of a formalized survey of large parents. The presented monograph will enable readers to look at the processes of fertility and family dynamics in modern Russia in a new way
