The proposed publication is a practical manual for studying the colloquial language of Shanghai (central representative of the regional language U) The structure of the manual includes the introduction, speech samples grouped by topics, exercises, thematic dictionary, presented in the letter and hieroglyphic record in the language of Shanghai and in the language of Beijing. The application provides a comparative list of syllables of the Chinese language of Putunhua and the language of Shanghai. Comparative data on phonology, vocabulary, grammar and hieroglyphic of the languages of Shanghai and Beijing can serve as the source educational material for the relevant educational institutions, as well as for all those who are interested in regional differentiation of the Chinese language.
