In the training manual from the standpoint of systemic and comparative approaches, the history of domestic choreographic education is considered. The main stages of development of education in the field of dance are distinguished, and a characteristic of external and internal factors of its historical variability is given. Five models of choreographic education were reconstructed in the context of the history of artistic culture of Russia. The aesthetic and stylistic development of dance art is analyzed, the contribution of outstanding choreographers and teachers to the formation of a domestic dance school is determined. The textbook is intended for students, undergraduates, graduate students "art of dance", "choreographic art", "art education" (profiles related to the art of dance).
