The textbook "Fundamentals of scientific and technical translation from the Chinese language into Russian is the first edition of this kind in the history of domestic and foreign Chinese. Its relevance is due to the increasing demand for professional translation of scientific and technical documentation from the Chinese language into Russian.
The textbook is unique in many respects, but its main feature is the presence of keys and reference translations into Russian of the entire text material of the lessons, which not only significantly facilitates the work of teachers, but also allows the use of the textbook as a tutorial. The textbook also contains a detailed lexical and grammatical commentary, which aims to neutralize the corresponding difficulties in translating and the formation of a systematic approach to the analysis of lexical units and grammatical structures.
The purpose of the textbook is to teach the theoretical foundations and practical skills of information processing of texts of scientific and technical style in the Chinese language and the technology of their written translation into Russian.
The textbook includes 16 topics covering the main branches of scientific knowledge, and the content of educational texts allows us to form a systematic idea of the lexical and grammatical characteristics of the scientific and technical style of the Chinese language, the basic categories of the corresponding sciences and their current state.
The textbook is intended for students of technical specialties studying Chinese, for philologists specializing in translation, for teachers, translators, as well as for persons studying Chinese on their own in the amount of at least two years of study. The textbook is recommended to be used as a basic when teaching special types of translation
