Based on the text of the novel by I. A. Efremov “Andromeda"s Nebuma” as a thematic pointer in the world of communist utopia, the author analyzes the most important leitmotifs of utopian literature: from Thomas Mora and Campanella to Soviet fiction of the 1960s. The main task of the book is to analyze what the main positive values of communist utopia were and what it tried to “seduce” for about 450 years of her continuous development. In particular, the author argued that the “physiophobia” moved the utopians - an aversion to the natural, to nature, which is understood as a landscape, and as a biosphere, and as a human nature. Special attention is paid to such a topic as the development of the problems of the problems of unimportant and unpaid labor, “labor-adjustment”, the topic of simplification of the social structure, as well as the topic of metaphors of brotherhood and family as symbols of the ideal of total integration.
The book is addressed to everyone who is interested in the history of social thought and domestic culture of the twentieth century
