In the monograph, a comparative analysis of Russian and Chinese linguistic culture was carried out in relation to the interpretation of such language personalities as the characters of the play A.P. Chekhov. Effective methods for studying the speech portrait proposed in monographs can be applied not only to dramatic characters, but also to the characters of a prosaic work of art. The results obtained are of greater practical significance and theoretical value.
