The textbook is written in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard in the areas of training 40.05.01 “Legal support of national security” (level of specialtic), 40.05.03 “Forensic Expertise” (level of specialty) and 40.05.04 “Forensic and prosecutor activity” (level of specialty) . It has a systematic outline of sociology as a science of society from the point of view of its subject, methods and functions, basic categories and paradigms. Also in the textbook, industry sociological problems are considered: the information society, the sociology of marginality, law, culture. Each chapter of the textbook is accompanied by an indication of what knowledge, skills can be acquired by students who have mastered the proposed material.
When preparing a textbook, the authors relied not only on extensive research literature on certain problems of sociology, but also on their own experience in teaching this discipline at a legal university.
