Not all the work of Wagner-Dramatourg intended for the musical scene gained their embodiment in the work of Wagner-composer, and a number of his works for various reasons “left without music”. Among these belongs to Saracens (WWV 66) Saracinka is a libretto of unfulfilled musical drama for a medieval plot. Considering this amazing essay from a chronological point of view, from the point of view of its place in the history of Wagnerian creations, it should be emphasized: created in Paris and Dresden and dating from 1841-43, the “Saratsinka” was written after the “Flying Dutchman” and before the “tangiser and competition of singers in Wartburg. The fact that this literary work does not gain its musical tissue does not understand its artistic significance at all, and nothing prevents him from considering it as an independent and self-sufficient tragedy that can live its own theatrical and stage life
