The authors of the manual united their many years of experience in teaching Russian literature of the 19th century outside of Russia: in Belarus and Slovakia, and presented materials that, in their opinion, correspond to the level of modern students, provide them and the teacher with the right to choose the volume and content of material, tasks of various types and type. Each section of the manual completes the linguoculturological comment, the dictionary, lists of literature, supplemented by links to media resources. The text is illustrated by the works of Russian artists, photographs of commemorative places, contains basic information about the Russian history of the second half of the 19th century, the stages of the creative evolution of Russian writers, the artistic features of the vehicles.
