The work discusses various aspects of old -age planning, especially the problem of housing adapted for the needs of older people. It is shown that timely understanding and search for ways to solve the housing problem helps to avoid one of the main traps of old age - a situation that is characterized by a sharp discrepancy between the convenience of the dwelling and the affection for it. An analysis of various faces of aging is carried out on the results of polls of public opinion, as well as with the involvement of research by Russian and foreign scientists. One of the results of the work is the aging road map - the key element of planning aging.
