Young people are a social group that most acutely feel any changes that begin to occur in society or only in the air. The focus of the authors of the collective monograph are two generations of post -Soviet youth - born in the middle or late 1980 x and in the middle or end of 1990. The former found the collapse of the huge empire, the period of social disorientation and the most radical state transformations, and the latter - the establishment of an authoritarian regime, rapid growth in consumption and return to conservative ideology. How do these two generations relate to the Soviet past? What do they think of the West, democracy and participation in politics, religion and morality? How common are racism and xenophobia among them compared to older age groups? Analyzing the results of sociological research, the authors are trying to find answers to the most important questions and understand whether representatives of these generations managed to learn a new system of values.
