Nikolai Sergeyevich Zverev is an outstanding Russian teacher who raised such pianists as Alexander Skryabin, Sergey Rakhmaninov, Alexander Ziloti, Konstantin Igumnov and many others who later became one of the best representatives of the Russian pianistic school in the world. Being a wide -educated person (studied at Moscow University, where he studied physics and mathematics), N.S. Zverev developed in his students an artistic taste, expanded their horizons, instilled manners of behavior, being a native of an aristocratic environment. This book tells about the training system of young pianists created by Nikolai Sergeyevich Zverev, and the facts of the biography of the teacher and his students are also presented. Their creative path, professional and human qualities were largely formed under the influence of the personality of Zverev, and the knowledge gained from him became the foundation, the significance of which has been preserved throughout their lives
