Musical Folklore of Voznesensky District, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast (+DVD)

This edition is dedicated to the musical folklore of the Voznesensky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region and is based on expeditionary records collected during field research of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky from the 1970s to the present. The author analyzes the main genres of song folklore, not fabulous prose and instrumental music, which allow us to talk about the uniqueness of the Nizhnemokshan cultural tradition. The book presents samples of tunes with the texts of the studied songs and instrumental tunes.
