The two-volume university course "Modern Russian Literary Language" of the famous Russian linguist A.N. Gvozdev (1892-1959) --- the appearance of the second half of the twentieth century in the Russianism is quite unique. Unlike most other university theoretical courses, which are usually the result of collective activity --- this is the work of one author, respectively characterized by the unity of the design and conceptual integrity.
In addition to lexicology, the consideration of which was also conceived by the author in the future, the textbook of A.N. Gvozdev covers all sections of the course "Modern Russian language". The first part of it --- "phonetics and morphology" --- includes the “spelling "section correlated with the problems of phonetics, the issues of morphemics and word formation are considered in connection with morphology. The second part is devoted to syntax and punctuation.
The book is addressed to Russian and foreign philologists, teachers of the Russian language, including foreign, linguists of various specialties, to everyone who studies the Russian language
