The scientific monograph “Medicine and Society: Solidarity and Conflict” is devoted to the analysis of issues related to relations in the social system “doctor - patient” and vectors of their transformation in modern Russian society. The structure and dynamics of conflicts in the social system, the social devaluation of professional activity and the status of a doctor are investigated. The monograph reveals in detail diversification and operationalization of concepts associated with defects in medical care. The causes and trends of improper medical practice as a global social problem of modern society are described.
