Linguistic analysis of selected fragments from the canonical treatise Mencius

This monograph is devoted to the linguistic analysis of the canonical Chinese treatise "Maine Zi". The study of this work is based on three methods: 1) Analysis of the syntactic structure of sentences at the level of phrases, 2) the actual division of super -frase unity, 3) semantic analysis. The analysis of sentences at the level of phrases is performed from small to large. The study of the structure of super -frase unity is carried out in accordance with the theory of actual division, the basis of which are laid down by representatives of the Prague Linguistic School (V. Mateesius, F. Danesh, Yang Firbas) Semantic analysis is performed in a simplified form. In the text of the "Mainza", the main topics are distinguished, each of which is illustrated by the appropriate fragments of the original source. A comparison of the Mainzza’s views with the Christian worldview and concepts of such philosophers of ancient China as Lao Tzu, Mo-Tzu and Confucius is also compared. Their view of the question of modesty and pride is discussed. In addition, in the work, an analysis of the visual and expressive tools used in the text of the "Main-Zi" is carried out. Most attention is paid to parallelism, which is used to form such linguistic units as toxes, phrases, sentences and superfrasous unity. The book is intended for graduate students engaged in the analysis of works in the ancient Chinese language, teachers, lectures on the discipline "Fundamentals of the classical Chinese language of Venanyan", as well as for older students who want to increase their level of ownership of the Chinese language
