The book of the famous Italian writer Laura Ricci included three stories from the Dodecalis cycle - a unique project in which twelve stories about women from different regions of Italy are also stories about the cities in which they live. Breshia and Turin, Milan and Siena, Pisa and Orvyuto appear on the pages of the cycle in the magnificence of their architecture and drama of their own history, continuing to live on old streets and squares. And individual events of very different, not similar to another female destinies are formed in a multi -color picture of the life of Italy of the second half of the 20th century.
Stories are adapted according to the method of Ilya Frank: equipped with a literal translation into Russian and the necessary lexical and grammatical commentary (without simplifying the text of the original) The uniqueness of the method lies in the fact that memorization of words and expressions occurs due to their repeatability, without memorization and the need to use the dictionary. In addition, the reader gets used to the logic of the Italian language, begins to “feel” it.
