Imagery in Translation. Workshop workshop

The manual is intended to commit literary translation skills and comparative analysis on the material of English, American and Russian fiction. The material is distributed according to sections in accordance with the main genres of fiction: poetry, prose, drama and folklore. As examples, works of classical and modern literature are used, published and archival translations, as well as literary editions of folklore texts in English and Russian. Particular attention is paid to the translation of Russian literature into English in the context of the distinction of domestic and foreign schools of art translation.
The manual is addressed primarily to students of philological specialties, studying foreign languages, literature, translation and translation studies, and may be interesting to literary scholars, linguists, translators, as well as everyone who is engaged or interested in artistic translation
