This manual is addressed to students of secondary special music educational institutions, first of all, to performers on keyboards and guitarists playing modern pop music. The material set forth in this manual is necessary for arrangers and musicians who want to learn how to improvise and compose music in modern pop styles. Of particular interest is the publication for musicians who have received an academic musical education, but do not speak a pop-jazz harmonic language.
The book consists of two parts. The first part sets out the basics of pop-jazz harmony, which will allow performers to master the modern harmonious language and play in any pop styles. The second part is devoted to the in-depth study of modern pop-jazz harmony and addressed to jazz musicians, improvisers, arrangers and theorists of modern music.
The CD, which is included with the manual, will make training more productive and interesting
