The attention of readers is offered a book by the outstanding Russian Germanist philologist M.M. Gukhman (1904-1989), dedicated to the study of the Gothic language belonging to the eastern group of ancient Germanic languages. The main part of the book is a description of the laws of the Gothic language, its phonetics, morphology, which includes the phenomenon and word formation, and syntax. Functional morphology is attributed to the phenomenon, so the syntax section contains only the necessary information about the structure of a simple and complex sentence.
