"Stories on Mondays of Alphonse Dode made the impressions of an eyewitness to the events of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871, which ended with a siege and surrender of Paris, as well as sketches from the capital and provincial life.
The text of the stories is adapted according to the method of Ilya Frank: equipped with a literal translation into Russian and the necessary lexical and grammatical commentary (without simplifying the text of the original) The uniqueness of the method lies in the fact that memorization of words and expressions occurs due to their repeatability, without memorization and the need to use the dictionary.
The publication contributes to the effective development of the language, can serve as an addition to the curriculum.
