The study of M. S. Skrebkova-Filatov is devoted to the study of the most important processes taking place in the European musical texture. The historical and theoretical concept of the author is based on rod phenomena, which permeate various musical genres-opera, symphonic, chamber-instrumental and vocal music of foreign and domestic composers. The book contains numerous analyzes of works from the era of baroque, classicism, romanticism until the middle of the twentieth century. The materials of the study were lectures, essays, notes on the theory and history of the author’s musical texture.
