Benedict Spinoza is one of the brightest representatives of the philosophy of the New Age. He paid special attention to such a section of philosophy as metaphysics, studying the nature of the world and being. The scientist sought to show the achievement of harmony on the basis of logical constructions. For this, in his opinion, a person had to comprehend his nature and his place in the world, in other words, to deepen and systematize his ideas about reality. Spinoza talked a lot about God as an integral part of this reality. The fundamental work "Ethics, proved in geometric order and divided into five parts", not published during the life of the philosopher, was spread in the form of manuscript copies for a long time, taking advantage of the unchanged popularity, and then was published and reprinted in dozens of languages of the world. He has not lost popularity now. After all, the philosopher raises inadorous questions in him. How is our reality related to the highest, divine will? How can the mind help human self -improvement? What is freedom?
