The textbook is intended for students of the basic (Pre -Intermediate) level of ownership of the English language and is focused on the integrated development of skills in all types of speech activity - reading, speaking, writing and listening - in the context of teaching the language of law. Particular attention is paid to work on the dictionary and legal terminology. Each text of the lesson is accompanied by a detailed Anglo-Russian glossary.
The first part of the textbook included six sections on the topics: "The role of law in society", "law and justice", "crimes and criminals", "Fundamentals of the Legal System of Great Britain", "Development of English General Law and Justice Laws", "Constitution of Great Britain". Along with these topics, the textbook discusses the main characteristics of the continental system of law and some features of the legal structure of the Russian Federation.
