The book is the first volume of the four -volume publication of Max Weber"s epochal work "Economy and Society". This is the first full translation into Russian. In volume I, a characteristic of the basic concepts of understanding sociology as a whole, the principles of economic sociology are formulated, a brief outline of the sociology of domination (in particular, the charismatic and bureaucratic types of domination) is given and the ways to develop a new concept of social structure and social stratification for its time are outlined. In fact, this volume formulated concepts that will serve the reader with a guiding thread for understanding the most important problems of the science of society, considered in the subsequent volumes of this classical composition, which are now being prepared for printing.
