The dictionary contains over 3,500 the most common words of the Russian language, in which the standards of stress, pronunciation of sounds and the formation of grammatical forms are often violated. New words are also included that have recently appeared in the Russian language and have not yet acted as the subject of normative assessment.
The norms of the norm are presented, as well as where it is necessary, grammatical instruments, grammatical forms of the heading word and interpretation are given.
Almost all vocabulary articles are equipped with poetic examples, and this makes the dictionary unique. Numerous quotes from classical Russian poetry using rhyme not only reinforce regulatory instructions, but also contribute to their better memorization.
For the first time in school lexicography, it is shown how orthoepic norms changed historically: outdated options are given, the options that are used limited: in colloquial speech, in professional communication, in dialects.
