The Textbook “Features of China and Russia” is intended for students studying Chinese in university programs at an advanced level and owning the basics of Chinese grammar and vocabulary at the HSK level 3. The main task of the manual is to replenish the knowledge of students in the history and culture of the Middle Kingdom and expand their vocabulary. The manual contains 20 paragraphs, each of which sets out the material according to one of the holidays of China and Russia. Each paragraph consists of adapted text in Chinese with translation into Russian, new words and combinations, lexical and grammatical commentary, historical facts and questions on the topic of the paragraph, which contributes to the assimilation and memorization of information. The material is structured in such a way that even a studying language independently is interesting and easy. Thanks to the manual, students can get acquainted with the main traditions and customs related to the holidays of China and Russia, which are important for the culture of both countries. The manual is addressed to university students who have mastered the basic course of the Chinese language, as well as to all studying Chinese at an advanced level.
