The monograph presents the results of unique studies of the team of authors of the Department of Sociology of the Family and Demography of the KSSID of Moscow State University practicing simultaneous surveys of family members since the 70s of the XX century and concentrated on the value-orientation compatibility of spouses. In a sociological and demographic study, 2500 respondents from different regions of the Russian Federation used the methodology of a pair survey, which allows us to take into account not only individual answers, but also compare them with the characteristics of the general seal. The publication is intended for social scientists, teachers, graduate students and for everyone who is interested in methodological issues of measuring value orientations and population attitudes, directions and goals of demographic policy.
