The textbook is intended for students of senior (third and subsequent) courses that study Chinese in the framework of the academic disciplines "Practical course of the Chinese language", "Practice of oral and written speech" and "linguistic and dramatic studies", as well as for studying the Chinese language on their own. The main goal of the manual is to acquaint students with the cultural and linguistic characteristics of Taiwan, the development of the skills and skills necessary for reading authentic information media reports on everyday topics in various fields of Taiwanese life. The same type of tasks have been developed for each text: pretext, tough and post -string. All texts and tasks are presented in traditional and simplified spelling. The information presented in the manual may be useful for everyone who is interested in history, culture, writing and other areas of life of the island
