Eduard Limonov is one of the most controversial figures of modern Russian literature and politics. During his life, he managed to visit the Moscow bohemian poet, an homeless emigrant in New York, a fashionable writer in Paris, and then - a radical politician whose books and performances invariably caused a scandal. Once in the opposition to the authorities of not only Russia, but also other countries of the former USSR, Limonov and the National -Bolshevik party created by him were famous for loud public actions, which ultimately led the party to the ban, and its leader - to a prison term. Today, despite the venerable age, Limonov retains activity and young enthusiasm in all areas - creativity, politics, personal life. His first Russian -speaking biography was written by a longtime associate of the writer, the St. Petersburg politician and journalist Andrei Dmitriev (literary pseudonym - Balkan) based on personal memories and conversations with the hero of the book
