The goal of the textbook is to give students an understanding of economics as a fundamental and integrated science. The textbook is structured on the principle of gradually expanding the coverage of the subject of economics: from the economic role of individuals, households, firms, and the state to the global economy as a whole. The educational material is strictly structured. Four instructional hours are allocated for each paragraph of the textbook: the first hour is for theoretical analysis of the text, the second is for a seminar discussing problematic situations, the third is for working with materials in electronic form and the Internet, and the fourth is for solving problems and completing tasks from the workbook. The textbook corresponds to the program of in-depth study of economics within the framework of general secondary education and contains a significant variable component. It complies with the Federal State Educational Standard of General Education, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education of Russia dated 17.05.2012 No. 413, with amendments dated 12.08.2022 No. 732. Implementation of part of the main educational program formed by the participants of educational relations.
