The book is devoted to the problem most relevant in critical (turning) periods of development of society, when valuable systems are radically changed in mass, group and individual consciousness. Systematization and generalization of research results allowed the authors to consider a number of typical economic and psychological phenomena typical for the Russian reality, identify and describe some patterns of economic self-determination. As one of theoretical bases of the analysis, a level of self-determination of the subject is proposed. This model is promising to study the dynamically developing consciousness of a subject in changing, unstable conditions.
The analysis made it possible to convincingly show that the economic self-determination of the individual and group entity acts as an essential factor in its economic activity. The developed theoretical model, dedicated patterns of self-determination, methodological techniques of its research are of interest to specialists in the field of social, economic and organizational psychology, psychology of personality, labor and management, as well as related sciences - behavioral economy, economic sociology, personnel management, social work, etc.
