This textbook was prepared by Professor T.M. Timoshina, from the Department of Economic Theory at MGIMO (U), who has been teaching the history of economics for many years. The author explores the economic history of Russia, starting from the development of the economy of ancient Slavic tribes up to the present day. The stages of the formation of the national economy and statehood, as well as the formation of social strata of the population from the 9th to the 20th centuries, are examined in detail. The main idea of the textbook is to analyze a series of economic reforms carried out in Russia at different times. The book includes a list of literature, a chronology of major events and dates in economic history, and appendices. This textbook is designed for students of economic specialties in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, as well as for those interested in the economic history of Russia from ancient times to the present day.
