In a remote location in northern Iceland, a mutilated body has been discovered. "Eclipse" is the second book in the series about Ari Thór, a young detective who, leaving behind his home and lover in Reykjavik, arrived to serve in the police force in a small town in the north of the country, cut off from the rest of the world by harsh nature. The novel followed right after "Snowblind" and was a great success with readers, like other books by Ragnar Jónasson, the "king of Scandinavian noir," who has received prestigious literary awards and is recognized as one of the best contemporary writers working in the detective genre.
