The book describes the basic principles of ultrasound and the clinical application of various methods, including two-dimensional echocardiography, M-mode, Doppler study and color Doppler-echocardiography. Normal images and parameters of various structures are considered. Separate chapters are devoted to ultrasound characteristics of various cardiological diseases, including cardiomyopathy, coronary heart disease, hypertensive disorders, congenital and acquired heart defects, endocard diseases, intracardial diseases. Particular attention is paid to errors in the diagnosis and their reasons. The book is well illustrated.
