ECERS. Scales for comprehensive quality assessment

ECERS-R scales are designed to assess the quality of educational activities of pre-school organizations that implement educational programs for children from 2.5 years to 5 years.
Scale can be used by the heads of pre-school organizations to assess the effectiveness of educational activities and improving the quality of work, educators - for self-assessment, employees of regulatory bodies - to monitor the quality of pre-school education. Worldwide recognized reliability and validity of ECERS-R scales make them particularly useful for research and certification of pre-school organizations.
For a comprehensive assessment of the quality of education in ECERS-R, seven raises are used:
1) subject-spatial environment
2) Cleans and care for children,
3) speech and thinking
4) types of children"s activity
5) interaction,
6) Structuring the program,
7) Parents and staff.
Each of them includes 7-point estimation: 1 (unsatisfactory), 3 (minimum), 5 (good) and 7 (excellent) To increase the accuracy of the estimation of each of the qualitative indicators in the book added explanations and examples.
