The monograph is dedicated to one of the most pressing problems of modern ophthalmology - the dry eye syndrome and accompanying his pathology of the front eye. More recently, only 10-15 years ago, domestic ophthalmologists did not attach particular importance to this disease in matters of both diagnostics and treatment. Today, the dry eye syndrome is important not only for doctors, pharmacists and, of course, international associations and scientific communities are engaged in studying.
The book discusses the issues of pathogenesis, classification, prevention, early diagnosis and, most importantly, modern approaches to the tactics of treatment of this pathology. The interrelation of the dry eye syndrome and other lesions of the front eye of the eye with such diseases as glaucoma, its manifestations, when wearing contact lenses, is illuminated.
Literary data and the results of their own clinical studies are presented.
