This book was compiled by the Society for the Study of the Life and Creativity of Zhou Enlai in memory of the 120th anniversary of the birth of a politician. The book mainly describes the ideals and aspirations of Zhou Enlai in his youth, his expectations and instructions for the young generation after participating in the revolution, and especially as a party and state leader. The language is simple and clear, and the content is deep, so the book is suitable for studying young people. The materials quoted in the book were mainly taken from the “Selected Works of Zhou Enlai”, “Works by Zhou Enlai on diplomacy”, “Works of Zhou Enlai on Education”, “Works of Zhou Enlai on culture”, “Works of Zhou Enlai on the United Front”, “The works of Zhou Enlai while studying at the Nanka school”, “Zhou Enlai’s diary on a trip to Japan”, “Selected letters Zhou Enlai” and other works edited by the Center for the Study of Party Documents at the CCP of the CPC. The manuscripts were selected and commented on by Liao Xinwan and Lee Qinpin from the Society of the Study of the Life and Creativity of Zho Enlai, the book was illustrated by young artists Lee Shigan, Lee Shidun and Liuhilun. Haw Junji, chairman of the department for illustrated encyclopedias of the People’s Publishing House, and Liu Jia, editor, took over the work on the publication of the book
