The book of Doctor of Art History Elena Dmitrievna Fedotova is devoted to painting by the masters of the Dusseldorf Academy of Arts, created in 1819. The author considers the period of its existence from 1819 to 1895, which is considered to be the heyday of the picturesque school of Dusseldorf, associated with the names of its creators P. von Cornelius and F.V. von Shadova. Their students are K.F. Lessing, K.F. Zone, E.Yu.F. Bendemapn, I.V. Shirmer, F.T. Hildebrandt, K.V. Huber, E.K.F. von Goebharlet, A. and O. Aheibakhs continued the work of their teachers and glorified the Dusseldorf school of painting of the 19th century, in turn raising talented followers
