The book introduces the reader to the precious artistic heritage of one of the prolific and bright masters of the Khokhlomsky painting of the 20th century Fedor Andreyevich Bedin. The name of this prominent figure of folk art at one time was one of the first to be listed in a large Soviet encyclopedia, which was confirmed by the invaluable contribution of the master to the treasury of world art. This book is the first and very interesting attempt to show the life and work of the master Bedin from an unusual angle - by means of a biographical story based on the experience of documentary mythology. The author found a fascinating form of the dyscon diary, as if repeating the structure of the legendary “list of the slope” of Bedin himself, irrevocably lost during the 1972 fire in the village of Novopokrovskoye, where the people"s master lived. Bedin, according to contemporaries, represented a “vocabulary” of a certain “life alphabet” from a multi-experienced and wise shrub-Umelian. He led him like a diary, where he neatly introduced, from his point of view, words and concepts, the secrets of his craft, memories and facts from the history of the Khokhlomsky Providence.
