Ivan Bilibin is known all over the world as a prolific Russian artist who at different times declared himself as a talented schedule, the author of numerous sketches of costumes and decorations for performances, painter and illustrator. Painful work in various techniques and genres allowed him to form his own recognizable style, often called Bilibinsky. Thus, the synthesis of the motives of Lubka, folk embroidery, wood threads gave rise to the national romantic direction in the Russian version of Art Nouveau, still warmly beloved and recognizable not only by children, but also by adults. In many ways, the formation of the Bilibinsky style was influenced by the emergence of the creative association "The World of Art", to which the artist joined in 1898. The group members opposed stagnation in academicism and sought with all their might to exalt the figure of the Creator and the aesthetic beginning in art. After the creation of several series of "fairy tales", in 1905, Bilibin finishes work on one of his most important works - a cycle of illustrations for the Tale of Tsar Saltan". The Bilibinsky drawing is characterized by the impeccable accuracy of the line, due to which each illustration is perceived as a separate, independent graphic work. Many art historians argue that it is this cycle that allows the artist to erect the rank of international masters - some compositional and color solutions can be comparable to the artistic manner of Alfons Mukha and even Katsusiki Hokusai. This coloring fully repeats the sequence and contours of the illustrations of Ivan Bilibin, made by him for the publishing house "Expedition for the procurement of public securities" from 1904 to 1905 and retains the original text of the tale of Alexander Pushkin. Building pages of coloring also follows the aforementioned publication with only one change - the size of the coloring is twice as much as the size of the book of 1905 and is an album of 40x50 cm printed on thick paper. Pages are easily separated from the album and can be decorated as independent paintings. Coloring is a great gift not only to children, but also to adults
