Stepan Grigoryevich Pisakhov (1879-1960)-artist, storyteller, traveler, researcher, publicist, teacher and ethnographer. The talent of Pisakhov as a landscape artist was revealed in the image of northern nature. In his paintings, he sang the beauty of amazing white nights, bulk snow, and northern pines.
Pisakhov bequeathed his fateful heritage (about 300 works) 2008 was marked by the opening of the artist and storyteller in Arkhangelsk S. G. Pisakhov. The new museum made it possible to present the main stages of Pisakhov’s life, to widely show his artistic heritage, to expand the idea of this unique personality, so consonant with the very essence of the Russian North
