This book is a collection of exercises developed by the artist Dmitry Gorelyshev. The purpose of the book is to give the reader tools and a methodology for independently learning and development, to make drawing more structured and rich. The exercises are not tied to a particular school or direction. They develop not so much technology or narrow skill as attention and awareness in drawing.
The book will be useful to illustrators, designers, animators, and artists of a wide profile. It doesn’t matter what we draw, it is important - how. Exercises set us tasks that we ourselves would not solve or could not set ourselves. The conditions of the problem do not allow us to draw according to the usual templates, they create a new, unusual situation for us.
According to these methods, the author is engaged in Stroganovka and British students, with artists of various profiles in a simple school. Gerelytyshev exercises are suitable for artists at any stage of development - from the most initial to professional.
