Reprint from the publication. Moscow, 1913. Alexander Vasilievich Shevchenko (1883, Kharkov-1948, Moscow) from 1898 to 1907 studied at the Art and Industrial School named after Stroganova. In 1905, he interrupted classes at the school and went to Paris, where in 1906 he worked in the workshop of E. Carrier, and after the death of Carrier, at Etienne Dina and Jean-Paul Laurent at the Julien Academy. In the 1910s, A.V. Shevchenko participated in the exhibitions of the associations “World of Art”, “The Union of Youth” and “Donkey Tail”, was close to the last group of artists. The author of a number of literary articles in which he outlined his theoretical positions in art (“neo-Primitics. Its theory. His possibilities. His achievements”, “Principles of cubism and other modern currents of painting of all time and peoples”, “Colorbodymist and tectonic primitivism”) . He headed the literary and artistic subdivon of the Board of Arts of the People"s Commissariat of People"s Commissariats (1918-1921), was part of Zhivskulpttarch (1919-1920) He taught in state free art workshops - Vhutemas - Vhuthein (1918-1929) Circulation 30 copies.
