In the book “My Way. 1924-1989 ”N. S. Shvydkov talks about a complex, incredibly difficult life of repressed peasants during Stalinism. The repressed were taken out by families to deep Siberia, where new territories of permafrost and swamps at the cost of their lives were mastered, people were dying of small to great. The author personally survived all the hardships of the fate of the repressed, lived in the dugout, ate the roots of trees, he saw firsthand the struggle of the peasantry with hunger, diseases, epidemics. Particular attention in the book is given to the Great Patriotic War, the participant of which was the author, tells about the price that the victory was given, the great power, courage and patience of the people. The author focuses on the desire of ordinary people to learn, on their hatred of bureaucrats, scammers, for the need for each person to choose his own path, his fate and adequately serve the Fatherland. The work of N. S. Shvydkova was in the training of athletes-ski, which he did until the end of his life. The book “My Path. 1924-1989 ”is a completely biographical work. Throughout his life, the author carries a special, boundless love for his mother and wife, which he expresses from the first to the last page
