This publication tells about the life of the Englishman Charles Sydney Gibbs (1876-1963) - English teachers of children of Emperor Nicholas II and mentor of Tsarevich Alexei. For ten years of ministry at the court of the Russian emperor, Gibbs turned into a trustee of the Nicholas II family. Having passed the difficult path to the Orthodox faith, he became a priest and made a noticeable contribution to the spread of Orthodoxy in the UK.
The publication included two books about Charles Gibbs, written by the English authors John Trevin and Francis Welch, the diaries of Charles Gibbs, which he kept from the beginning of the First World War, his letters from Tobolsk, memories of the royal family, written in 30-40 -years of the XX century.
