Fudde Venediktovich Bulgarin (1789-1859) is one of the key figures of Russian literature of the first half of the 19th century. A fierce polemic with A. S. Pushkin and actions as an agent of the third branch contributed to the deterioration of his reputation, but we should not forget that he was one of the most read authors of his time, a major publisher and editor - in particular, he was the first to “take a seal.
