The scientific and commented publication of the diary entries of Metropolitan Arseny (Stadnitsky), the outstanding Russian hierarch of the first half of the twentieth century, is dedicated to the meetings of the Lord with Grand Duchess Elizabeth Theodorovna from 1897 to 1918 in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Pskov, other cities and abode. Describing various events, the Grace always paid attention to spiritual aspirations, the Christian ministry of the Grand Duchess, reflected on the Marfo-Mariinsky monastery created by her, which he had repeatedly visited. These notes help to understand the stages of the spiritual path and an increase to the face of the holiness of the Martyr Elisabeth.
