This publication introduces readers with letters of 19 correspondents to David Burliuk, most of which have not been published until today. They cover the period from 1924 to 1966 and belong to the “American period” of the artist. All published letters are given in full and are stored in the Burliuk Foundation (f. 372) in the research department of manuscripts of the Russian State Library (NIR RGB) The collection of letters in the letter The archive is extensive and diverse, it clearly indicates the absolute openness of the addressee. The earlier part of the archive containing letters of the second half of the 1920s (Matyushin, Malevich, Palmov, Lentulov) is associated, for the most part, with the alleged exhibition projects, requests to contribute to sales. The paintings are the nature of the Devils of Evgeny Spassky, who was still a very young artist accompanied Burliuk in his “Siberian” tour, and letters-reports of the director of the Ufa Art Museum Julia Blmental. Letters of Dmitry Krasnopevtsev, Igor Serekovsky,? as well as letters of old friends, the connection with which was interrupted for a long time. The publication is preceded by an extensive article by art critic Vladimir Polyakov, a specialist in the work of David Burliuk. The article describes in detail the fate of the archives of Burliuk and tells the specifics of the published meeting of letters. The show is accompanied by a certificate of the history of the relationship of the sender of the letter and D.D. Burliuka, detailed notes are given
