"... was called fate and never repeat ..." - a book of memories. It contains the author’s stories about his ancestors and relatives and about the events of his own life, as well as about the author’s meetings and communication with a rather large number of wonderful (and simply interesting) people with whom fate has brought him. Some of them are devoted to individual chapters. At the same time, the author, being an artist in basic education, tried to combine the rational-analytical nature of the presentation with emotionally-shaped and connect the events from his own life and the life of his acquaintances and colleagues with a common socio-historical background, and also tried to understand the deep meaning of those dramatic events, The witness and the participant of which he happened to be. Theoretical deviations from the chronological presentation of events are also associated with this. The book is intended as experts in the field of art history, social history, urbanology, geography, cultural studies and sociology, and a wider circle of readers interested in the events of several decades of Russian history, its art, science and culture
